Our S.O.U.L. ministry is an outreach ministry for adults with developmental disabilities. Every Thursday from 10:00 to 11:30 am, our S.O.U.L. staff provides structured activities for adults.     

All programs are free and attended by individuals and group homes from the community.  For more information on any of our S.O.U.L. programs please call the church at (905) 685-8294 Wednesday through Friday mornings or email if you have any questions or concerns.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE:

Wednesday:  (Suspended until further notice)

Thursday

1. Meet upstairs in church for simple scripture & song service with individually shared prayer requests.
2. Downstairs coffee & goodies with conversation time.
3. Alternating activity time of Bible Bingo with prizes or art activity led by Pastor Todd (former art teacher).

“Craft” day – Featuring a seasonal craft usually corresponding to the Church calendar.  Practical crafts allow clients to express creativity while exercising fine motor skills and enjoying a tactile experience (eg painting, cutting, gluing and assembly of many different materials). All crafts are safe using non-toxic materials and adapted to accommodate different levels of ability.  (NB: Some crafts are seasonal (jam making, Easter egg decorations) with special attention given to allergies. Followed by coffee/snack break.

Friday (Suspended until further notice)

“M.A.D. (Music/Art/Drama) Friday” – in the sanctuary, featuring singing and skits.  Participants sing, celebrate birthdays and other special life events and share in prayer.  Participants may take part in a short, unrehearsed Biblical drama, wearing costumes, using props and repeating lines.   Followed by coffee/snack time in the basement.
